So was it in my heart of hearts, or is it just indigestion
We're moving.  I should say something about this I suppose.

As I posted in [info]geojlc's journal the fine city Everett has been a great location, as long as I worked there.  Seven blocks from the PoE.

After that ended and I was commuting to the Eastside and then Northgate for my new jobs, it was meh.  50-70 miles round trip really adds up as far as fuel cost goes.

I'm of the mind of picking my shots when I know a need.  I've done this for the last few moves, with the help of friends if I had it.

So my needs were:  1)  shorter commute distance 2)  shorter distance between [info]geojlc and friends 3) a yard for the cat .

When the folks at BGM called out for folks interested in renting space from them I knew that the space was a good size, because I'd help move them into last year.  I also like them all.  They like science fiction/fantasy/filk/music and I like science fiction/fantasy/filk/music.  They have a place, we need a place.  BGM is short distance to work, near bus lines, has a yard.

[info]geojlc doesn't like moving.  I don't blame her.  But there are no particular reasons keeping us in Everett, other than the most awesome Thai restaurant ever (Thai on Broadway), the most awesome blood bank staff ever, and we are marginally closer to our friends who live north.

[info]geojlc has asked me if I had made up my mind about moving.   rather I had made up my mind that long term the place in Everett wasn't a keeper.

Nobody likes moving, and you had a cool place in Everett. But yay for being closer to... well, some of your friends anyway. :D

When it's time for something, you know.

The [info]flower_cat and I will be visiting the BGM next weekend -- see you there perhaps?

I certainly hope so. Our presence may just be some boxes and stuff at that point.

Having a 6 weeks to move is nice in some ways.

Once I spotted your dollar guitar post, it confirmed that you are the gentleman from the Pondfilk dulcimer workshop.

I'm actually familiar with the downstairs of the BGM. I stayed in the rec room for several nights last summer, and recall being awakened by the pitter-patter of little feet each morning (the rec room was directly under the kitchen/dining room). I hope you enjoy your new digs and your new housemates. There are some very remarkable people living there.
